For three years I have watched Capital Cause, a fiscally-sponsored 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, grow from an organization founded by five women, to an organization that has motivated over 3000 young professionals to give to important causes in the DC Metropolitan area. Although I'd like to say the growth took place overnight, the truth is Capital Cause has grown because of the unwavering support of young, committed, and energized donors excited about giving back.
Capital Cause is unlike any other nonprofit organization that you will experience, partly because it revolutionizes the concept of philanthropy by involving young professionals in pooling their resources to give back to important causes. This year that important cause is POVERTY, the cause that a majority of our members - Young Philanthropists - voted to donate to support this year for the duration of 2012!
Today I invite you to join our movement by exploring why our Young Philanthropist Program is changing the way people think about giving. Consider attending one of our creatively-themed fundraisers, getting involved at our next service event, or signing up for a Giving Circles Project. Make Capital Cause your philanthropic organization of choice, and we'll make sure your experience not only grows your network but increases your impact in deserving communities!
